Exhibition Stand Design – Enterprise Ireland at Mobile World Congress
Seek Design were awarded the position of exhibition stand designers and project managers for the Enterprise Ireland Irish Pavilion at the trade show Mobile World Congress 2018. We worked alongside Enterprise Ireland to create an exhibition booth to showcase Ireland’s most cutting edge companies in the field of mobile technologies. The aesthetic of the exhibition stand reflected the modern ethos of the various independent companies being showcased. Seek Design endeavoured to deliver a platform that would represent and enhance their cutting edge status within the technology sector. A 6 metre high hanging banner surrounded the stand, giving it strong visibility from all approaches. Enterprise Ireland’s new marketing campaign “The Irish Advantage” was used as umbrella branding for the stand, with individual company logos backlit at their individual meeting pod booths. We created an open plan layout to make best use of the exhibition stand, incorporating 14 exhibitors, a central reception area, hop-up meeting spaces, two enclosed meeting rooms, a large store and a separate kitchen facility. The materials used were a juxtaposition of matt and gloss, rough and smooth. High gloss white flooring and blue/green metal frames, contrasted with the raw and matt black stained plywood structures. Colourful gradient graphics stood out against the crisp white finishes at high level. Strip lighting throughout further enhanced the shapes and lines within the space. Each exhibitor area included seating, locked storage drawers, a 42” screen to display video content and a large internally lit logo, along with wiring for power and data connectivity. Irish companies had a very successful time at MWC 2018, and Seek Design were proud to have assisted in showcasing them and maximising their visibility within this vibrant trade event.
