The Brief The brief was to incorporate a sense of Irishness into the design and create a functional display space for a wide variety of Irish-made products at the Showcase Exhibition in Dublin.

The Design We developed a faceted hexagonal installation inspired by the geometry of the Giant’s Causeway and the structure of a beehive. Positioned at the main entrance, the sculptural form was designed to stop visitors visually and create a clear moment of arrival. The structure incorporated varying heights, recessed display areas, integrated lighting and bespoke joinery, allowing product display, storage and retail functions to sit within the overall form rather than read as separate elements.

The Outcome The finished installation created a strong sculptural presence at the entrance to Showcase, using form, material and light to express a distinctly Irish identity. Functional display elements were fully integrated into the structure, allowing the piece to operate simultaneously as an installation, a landmark and a setting for Irish craft.
